Judgement Enforcement

Receiving a favourable judgement is only half the battle.

Even if you've won your case, depending on the type of judgement and availability of your opponent's funds, receiving your winnings can be a daunting task.

Clients can rely on Central Legal Services to locate debtors and make a decision on the methods to be used in enforcing the judgement.

In many cases debtors become scarce, so complying with the Rules of the Small Claims Court requires a certain degree of professionalism and patience that you can be sure to find at Central Legal Services.

Now that I’ve obtained judgement, how do I get the monies from the other party?

There are several methods by which a judgement can be enforced. A garnishment can be placed on the debtor’s bank account, a Writ can be issued in the debtor’s name, a garnishment application can be sent to the debtor’s employers, or a judgement debtor examination can be scheduled. Each of those options must be handled in a unique fashion as there can be potential consequences of utilizing an incorrect method. We at Central Legal Services specialize in enforcing judgements.
